Date of Notice: Wednesday, September 26, 2012; Trenton Times, Trentonian, Register News, Decatur Herald and Review(IL) Sarah Lou (Sally) Lafferty, 69, of Bordentown, NJ, passed away after a twelve-year battle with breast cancer, Saturday, September 22, 2012, in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Decatur, IL, Sally resided in Bordentown City for the last 24 years. She was an Executive Assistant with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and, at one-time, a candidate for Commissioner of Bordentown City. Sally was a singer and a songwriter who wrote music honoring America's fighting men and women in the armed forces. Sally was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Bordentown. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, John E. Lafferty, her twin sons; Shaun and Ryan along with Shaun's wife, Bernadette; her brother and sister-in-law, Donald "Dude" and Judy Betzer; three sisters, Alice Reynolds, Judy Luttrell and Janet Maligmat as well as many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Friday, September 28, 2012, form 7-9PM, and again on Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 9-10:30AM, at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown, NJ, (609) 298-0330.
