Date of Notice: Thursday, August 2, 2012; Burlington County Times Ronald Chesla, 65, of Tabernacle, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Somerville, NJ, Ron was raised in Manville, NJ, and moved to Tabernacle 35 years ago. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, who proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He continued to serve his country in the Department of Defense for 39 years. Ron was a parishioner at the Church of the Holy Eucharist in Tabernacle, where he volunteered his time to decorate the church and to work at the Pine Barrens Festival. He was a loyal husband, loving father and grandfather, and an avid fisherman. After he retired, he followed his life long passion of airplanes by volunteering at the Air Victory Museum in Lumberton, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Eileen (nee Prenenski) Chesla; his daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Brian Torchin of Philadelphia, PA; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Tara Chesla of Franklinville, and Mark and Melissa Chesla of Browns Mills; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Wendy Chesla of Flemington, and Kevin and Kim Chesla of Forked River; three grandchildren, Geoffrey, Chase and Mitchell; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, August 5, 2012, from 5-9PM, and again on Monday, August 6, from 9-10AM, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, at 10:30AM, at the church. Interment with military honors will be held at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ron's memory to the Air Victory Museum, 68 Stacy Haines Rd., Lumberton, NJ 08048. Watch Video Tribute
