Roberta Jurgensen

April 19, 1919 - August 2, 2015

Roberta Jurgensen, 96, of Medford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2, 2015, at Brandywine Assisted Living in Moorestown, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, Roberta resided in Ridgewood, NJ, and Glen Rock, NJ, most of her life before moving to Medford in 1989. She was a Girl Scout Leader for her children in her younger years, and enjoyed sewing, traveling and swimming. Roberta was a member of the Medford Woman’s Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Wife of the late William A. Jurgensen; she is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean A. and Michael Wehrell, and Joan and Bernard Kelly; her son, W. Robert Jurgensen; five grandchildren, Tiffany (Lanny), Suzanne, Steven (Jackie), Bryan (Liette), and Kristine (Brian); 14 great grandchildren; and two nieces and one nephew. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 10-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Roberta’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market St., Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
