Date of Notice: Friday, March 23, 2012, Burlington County Times Robert A. Uhlig, Sr., 89, of Shamong, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at home. Born in Canastota, NY, Robert was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass in Berlin, NJ in 1985, after 33 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Margaret (nee Dolphin) Uhlig; six children, Edith V. Boggs, Donna Rambo, Robert A. Uhlig, Jr., Paul E. Uhlig II, Edward F. Uhlig and Daniel D. Uhlig; 21 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Sunday, March 25, 2012, from 6-8PM, and again on Monday, March 26, from 10-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at 11AM, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle, NJ.
