Date of Notice: Tuesday, January 6, 2015; Burlington County Times. John Francis Hartman, 84, of the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015, at Virtua W. Jersey Hospital, Marlton, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, John resided in Medford before moving to Leisuretowne in 1996. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran who proudly served during the Korean War. John graduated from St. Peter's Preparatory School in Jersey City, NJ, and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He retired from Anixter Bros., Inc., in Skokie, IL, as a salesman. He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Anne (nee Archer) Hartman; his loving sons and daughters-in-law, John Hartman, Jim and Danielle Hartman, and Bob and Debbie Hartman; his sister, Irene McMahon; six grandchildren, Hannah, Erin, Jack, Brianna, Ryan and Joseph; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, January 8, 2015, from 9-10AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, at 10:30AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford. Interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N. Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
