James H. Coon

James H. Coon, 77, of Medford Lakes, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022. Born in Newtown Square, PA, and attending Marple Newtown High School, Jim honorably served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. In 1983, he settled in Medford Lakes, NJ and remained there until his passing. Jim wore a tough outer shell (and a fantastic mustache), but he was a kind-hearted gentleman who was quick to help and never needed recognition for it. He was a natural born salesman and a successful business owner. “Successful people form successful habits” was his mantra and he lived by it! Son of the late John H. Coon and Bertha Crowley; he is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Cathy (nee Worrell) Coon; his sons Jeffrey (Joey), Stephen, and Michael (Jenae); a daughter, Julia; and grandchildren Piper, Jackson, Ella, and Molly. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at 12 noon, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5021 Harding Highway, Mays Landing, NJ.
