Ionia B Smith Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Date of Notice: Sunday, October 6, 2013; Burlington County Times On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend, Ionia B. Smith, 75, passed away suddenly at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly, NJ. She was born and reared in Drewryville, VA. Ionia is the daughter of the late Gosnold B. and Fannie B. Johnson. Throughout her lifetime, Ionia enjoyed cooking, entertaining, and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time with children, many of whom considered her as their "Mom". Mrs. Smith leaves to forever cherish her memories, her loyal and faithful husband of 54 years, Efird Smith; three sons, James Reese of Newport News, VA, Duane E. Smith of Burlington, NJ, and Glenn E. Smith of Maple Shade, NJ; one sister, Vergia M. Johnson of Capron, VA; one granddaughter, Gabriella M. Flores-Smith of Eastampton, NJ; and a host of other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013, from 3-5PM, at the Moore Funeral Home, 371 Lakehurst Rd., Browns Mills, NJ. The viewing will continue on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, from 11AM to 12 PM, at the Browns Mills United Methodist Church, 2 Pemberton-Browns Mills Rd., Browns Mills, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 12 noon at the church. Interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
