Herbert Francis Sweikart Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Herbert F. Sweikart Jr., 92, of Shamong, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Monday July 4, 2022. Was preceded in death by Hannah C. Sweikart, Beloved wife of 61 years. Loving father of Herbert F. (Jane) Sweikart III of Mt.Laurel, NJ, William T. Sweikart of Huntsville, AL, Lawrence A. (Denice) Sweikart of Shamong, NJ, and Mary Ann Sweikart of Naples, NY. Proud grandfather of Anneliese, Herbert IV, Kimberly, and great grandfather of Alice and Finnian. Herbert served in Korea with the 8th Army, 5th Ordinance Medium Maintenance Company from 1951- 1952. After returning to civilian life, he worked in the auto industry for the remainder of his career and retired from Subaru of America. After "retiring" he ran a small transportation company in South Jersey. Herbert was born in Englewood, New Jersey, and has been a resident of Shamong for the past 5 years. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Relatives and friends may gather on Saturday, July 23, 2022, from 1-4PM at Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St. Medford, NJ 08055. Internment to be held privately at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Herbert's memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr. Ste. 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
