Date of Notice: Sunday, May 18, 2014; Burlington County Times. George K. Marple, Jr., 89, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in Philadelphia and Haddonfield, NJ, George resided in Medford since 1955. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, who proudly served during WWII and a member of the Medford United Methodist Church and their choir. George was preceded in death by his son, Philip Marple and his sisters Ruth Keith and Betty Schmidt. George is survived by his wife Polly (nee Tomlinson); four children, Ralph Marple and his wife, Cynthia, Carol Lynch and her husband Randy, Stephen Marple and his wife Kathryne, Kathleen Marple and her partner, Carla; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, May 24, 2014, from 10 to 11am, at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford, NJ. A memorial service immediately following. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in George's memory to the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford, NJ 08055; or to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
