Date of Notice: Sunday, May 26, 2013; Burlington County Times, Courier Post, Atlantic City Press Frederick Cook, best known as "Cookie" passed away on May 23rd at his home surrounded by his beloved family. He was 88 years old, and from Nesco, NJ. Born in Berlin, NJ he grew up in Delran Twp. NJ, attending Bridgeboro School and Katzenbach school for the deaf. Mr. Cook was a heavy equipment operator and member of Local825 of the International Union of Operating Engineers. For most of his career he was employed by Gaskill Construction Company of Delran. Gardening, fishing, enjoying drives in the Pinelands region and motor trips to Canada and Florida were some of his favorite activities. He also enjoyed being a member of the Royal Order of Moose. Mr. Cook was predeceased by his son Frederick Cook, Jr. in 1968. He also was predeceased by his parents Frederick E. Cook, and Clara O. Holtz (nee Knoll), and also a sister Emilie Wallace. He leaves to cherish his memory, the love of his life Pat Wood, his daughter and son-in-law Connie and Bill Warren of Sparta, NJ., his sister Ruth Ryan, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear faithful friends. Relatives and friends are invited to gather Tuesday May 28th from 10AM to 11AM at Mathis Funeral Home 58 N. Main St. Medford, NJ 08055. A memorial service will take place at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment to be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
