Date of Notice: Friday, March 2, 2012; Burlington County Times, Courier Post Evangeline Irene Warrick, 88, of Southampton, NJ, passed away with her family at her side in Rutland, VT. Born and raised in Mt. Holly, Evangeline, known to most as Van, lived in Medford for 48 years, then spent 13 ½ years in Southampton before moving to Wardsboro, VT. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vincentown, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the church choir. As a young adult, she was a member of the Civil Defense Patrol and worked at an aero safety plant. She was a seamstress for many years, among other jobs. She was a dedicated employee who maintained a strong work ethic. Evangeline was a fun- loving, energetic, youthful spirit who played in woman's baseball leagues and men's and women's bowling league. She took good care of her husband and children, and was loved by all who knew her. Daughter of the late Harold and Laura DeWitt; sister of the late Harold DeWitt; she is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, Lester Edward Warrick; four daughters, Gloria Lattiere, Sandra Schindler, Evangeline Korejko, and Donna Sebastian; her sister, Babe Mary Thompson; ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 5, 2012, from 9-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 11AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be held privately for family at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N. Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Evangeline's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
