Eric "Boomer" Stuart Pettersen, 56, of Cherry Hill, NJ, passed away on August 13, 2015, surrounded by his loving family, after a battle with cancer. Beloved husband to Linda Pettersen (Makris); Devoted father to Amanda, Kristen, Jenna, Ross and Zoee. Loving grandfather to Kolby. Survived by parents, Erling S. and Muriel C. Pettersen. Dear brother of Linda, Ede (Jay), Nina (Bryan) and Susan (David). Also survived by loving nieces and nephew, Rachael, Elaina, Zachary and Alexa as well as many cousins. Eric, affectionately known as “Boomer”, was born in Harrisburg, PA but was a lifelong resident of Cherry Hill. Eric was a 1977 graduate from Cherry Hill East High School. He oversaw his own company, Premier Landscaping, for more than 30 years. His passion in life besides his family and friends was baseball and softball. This summer, Eric was inducted into the Softball Players Association's Senior Softball Hall of Fame. Eric lived his life with such a positive attitude and great sense of humor. His other passions were his beloved Flyers and Eagles. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Wednesday, August 19, 2015, from 2-4 p.m. at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main Street, Medford, NJ. A Memorial Service will follow at 4PM, at the funeral home.
