Date of Notice: Monday, August 5, 2013, Burlington County Times. Ellis T. Scott, 88, of the Leisuretowne section of Southampton, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013, at home. Born in Southampton, NJ, Ellis resided in Medford most of his life before moving to Leisuretowne in 2000. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, who served during WWII. He retired from ACME Markets in 1987, having worked in Mt. Holly, Hainesport and Medford. Ellis was a member of the Red Lion Golf Association, the Medford VFW Post 7677, and the American Legion in Florida. Husband of the late Mildred D. Scott (nee Mathis); he is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Mildred M. Scott (nee Taggart); his son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Emily Scott; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Glenn Hall; his granddaughter, Lindsay Hall, his sister Velma Amling; two step sons, Steven and James Ecremen; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, from 10-11AM, at the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 11AM, at the church. Interment will be in the Park View Cemetery, Medford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ellis' memory to the Medford United Methodist Church, 2 Hartford Rd., Medford, NJ 08055.
