Date of Notice: Saturday, November 9, 2013; Burlington County Times, Courier Post Dennis L. Sexton, 69, of Shamong, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013, at Virtua Memorial Hospital, Mt. Holly. Born in Baltimore, MD, Dennis resided in Shamong for the last 29 years. He retired as a manager with American Airlines. He was a member of the American Legion and the Military Airlift Command. Dennis was the proud recipient of the James H. Doolittle Award for outstanding accomplishment in technical management or engineering achievement in aerospace technology. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Dennis loved auctioneering and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda (nee Hunt) Sexton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Sean and Patricia Sexton, Jason and Jodi Sexton, and Chad and Amy Sexton; his brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Jr. and Betty Sexton; and ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Shannon, Coty, Austin, Rebecca, Logan, Hailey, Brody, Hunter and Lily. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, November 11, 2013, from 5-7PM, at the Shawnee Baptist Church, 303 Oakshade Rd., Shamong. Funeral services will follow at 7PM, at the church.
