Claude F Levesque Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Date of Notice: Friday, May 30, 2014; Burlington County Times. Claude F. Levesque, 89, of Medford, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Born in Upper Frenchville, ME, Claude resided in Medford most of his life. He retired as a Sgt. Major with the U.S. Army, serving during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. He had the proud distinction of receiving the Bronze Star for his service. Claude was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 7677 in Medford, and he was a parishioner at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church in Medford. Beloved husband of the late Ella Levesque, son of the late Vincent and Marie Levesque, brother of the late Hercules, Armand, Aline, Sr. Estelle, and Gerard, he is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including, Robert and his wife Sandy Levesque, Jacqueline and Jack Riley, and Bernard and Monique Levesque. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 9-10AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, at 10:30AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford, NJ. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, N. Hanover, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Claude's memory to St. Luce Church, Upper Frenchville, ME.
