Bernard McIntyre of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly. Bernard was born in Ashley, WV. He was a resident of Medford,before moving to Southampton 14 years ago. He was a retired, U.S. Army veteran. During his 20 years of military service , he served three tours in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star. Upon retiring from the military Bernard was employed by Oscar Mayer for 12 years and Stiles Sunoco for 24 years. Bernard is predeceased by his mother and father, J.A. and Hattie (Morgan) McIntyre. He is survived by his wife of 24 years Kathleen McIntyre of Southampton, NJ. Burial will take place Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at 10am in the chapel at the Brig.Gen.Wm.C.Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Provinceline Rd. in Arneytown with full honors. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300, Marlton, NJ., 08053.
