Date of Notice: June 25, 2012; Courier Post Anna M. Alburger, 102, of Atco, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at The Fountains at Cedar Park, Atco. Born in Camden, NJ, she was a former resident of Pennsauken, Camden and the LeisureTowne section of Southampton, before moving to Atco. Anna worked at Campbell Soup Co. of Camden where she was employed as a clerk in the 1920s and ?30s, and several years later in the Trust Files Department of Provident Tradesmen's Bank in Philadelphia. She was a member of the LeisureTowne Nature Club, History Club, Organ Club, Bible Club and the Shawnee Baptist Church Social Club and a former member of the Linden Baptist Church in Camden. Wife of the late Thomas Alburger; she is survived by her son Thomas P. Alburger of Deep River, Ontario Canada; 4 grandchildren: David, Robert, John and James; 2 great-grandchildren: Matthew and Andrew, also of Canada; her sister-in-law and niece Norma and Cather Maher of Somerdale, NJ; nieces Jane Scarano, Margo Morris, her sister-in-law Constance Alburger of Cross Keys, NJ, nephew Jack Alburger and niece June Murphy; niece Harriet Beach of Florida, and nephew Jack Clark of Kentucky . Relatives and friends can call on Thursday, June 28 from 10:30-11AM at the Mathis Funeral Home 58 N. Main Street, Medford, NJ 08055. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Interment will be held at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting, NJ. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mathis Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.
