Anita M. Halber

Anita M. Halber, 80, of the LeisureTowne section of Southampton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 12, 2022. Born in Hazelton, PA, she resided in Philadelphia, PA, for 42 years, before moving to Southampton in 2006. She was a nurse at Nazareth Hospital in PA, and was an active parishioner at the Church of the Holy Eucharist in Tabernacle, NJ, where she sang in the church choir. Anita belonged to many clubs in LeisureTowne, and loved being part of the Curtain Callers, musicals, plays and duets with her husband Joe. She also sang twice a year for LeisureTowne’s Military Veterans Association. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph E. Halber; her three children, Christopher Halber, Diane Gannon (John), and Douglas Halber, Sr.; five grandchildren, Alexandra, Jacqueline, Sarah, Douglas, Jr., and Ethan; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 10-11AM, at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, NJ. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM, at the church. Interment will be in Most Precious Blood Cemetery, Hazelton, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anita’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or to the Crescent Shriner’s, 700 Highland Ave., Westampton, NJ 08060.
