Date of Notice: Monday , December 9, 2012. Newspaper: Burlington County Times Albert W. Blakeslee, Sr., age 76, of Roebling, NJ passed away on November 29, 2012. Al proudly served in the U.S. Army and in the National Guard, while serving in Germany, Al was a tank mechanic. A hard worker, Al provided for his family as a Plant Manager at Vanco Trailers in Columbus. Working his whole life, Al enjoyed working and he refused to retire. He was an avid Raiders Fan, enjoyed fishing on his boat, loved watching western movies and listening to country, especially Josh Turner. Al was a great story teller, he was easy going and always had a kind word to say about others. He will be sadly missed. Beloved husband of 24 years to Clara (nee Vandergrift).Proud father to Grace (Steve) Archer, Nelda Renee (Max) Burress, Josie (Joey) Chopel, Scott (Debbie) Scomolla and 2 other children he loved, would like to remain anonymous, and daughter in law, Melanie Sorensen. Dear brother of Larry (Hope), Harold (Ruth) Sally Blakeslee and sister in law, Bunny Blakeslee . Loving grandfather and great grandfather to many. Also survived by his faithful companion, Lady LoveBug and his feathered friend, Sweetheart. Also Precious, Shrimpy and Diamond, who met him at Rainbow Bridge. He was pre-deceased by his parents Lawrence and Grace, his son, Albert, Jr. and his brother, Bruce. Relatives and friends may call on December 12, 2012 from 10 AM -12 PM at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown. Funeral Service will begin at 12 PM.
