Bompensa, 79, of the LeisureTowne section of Southampton, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2007 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Paulsboro, NJ, he was a resident of Jensen Beach, FL for 27 years before moving to Southampton 5 years ago. He was a Veteran of WWII having proudly served his country with the US Army. James retired from Armellini Industries in Palm City, FL, where he was employed for 47 years. One of his favorite past times was working on cars. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He is survived by his wife Eugenia (nee Lippincott) Bompensa; one son and daughter-in-law Orlando James and Suzanne Bompensa of Port St. Lucie, FL; four daughters and two sons-in-law Valerie Bompensa-Grant and her husband David of Ft. Myers, FL, Cynthia Koch of Southampton, Robin Burgo of Marlton and Diane L. and Edward Vagnoni of Waterford, NJ; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; five brothers Dominic Bompensa of Vineland, Orlando James Bompensa, Jr. of Franklinville, NJ, Rudolph Bompensa, Thomas Bompensa both of Clayton and John Bompensa of Pitman, NJ; one sister Marie Dausey of Miami, FL; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 26, 2007 from 9-11AM at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, (609) 654-2439. A funeral service will follow at 11AM at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Locustwood Memorial Park, Cherry Hill, NJ. |
