Kenneth J. Andersen, 60, of Medford, passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, October 14, 2006.

Born in Bridgeton, NJ, Ken resided in Medford over 20 years.  He attended Woodbury High School, and he received both his Bachelor and Master’s Degree from Rider University.  He was employed as an environmental protection specialist by the E.P.A. in Philadelphia.  He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during Vietnam, where he received the Joint Service Commendation Medal.  He was an active participant in the Philadelphia Flower Show for over 15 years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Nancy E. (nee Crane) Andersen; his two sons, Sern Andersen of St. Louis, MO, and Kenny Andersen of the University of W. Virginia; his brother Sern Andersen of Hammonton; and his three nieces and one nephew.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, October 19, 2006, from 9-10:30 AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, (609) 654-2439.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.
