Ambrose, Sr., 79, of Southampton, died, 12- 22- 2004 in Cherry Hill. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, LeisureTowne Association, LeisureTowne Singers, Breakfast Club, Curtain Call T.O.U.C.H. and Treasurer of the Recreation Committee of LeisureTowne. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Eucharist, where he was a church lector, sang in the compassionate choir, and was involved with their church festival. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Teresa M. (nee Greer) Ambrose; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Dr. Joseph E. Ambrose, Jr. of Indiana, PA, Dennis M. and Jo Ambrose of N. Wales, PA, and Gregory J. Ambrose of Pennsburg Manor Home, PA; two daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa M. Stevens of Kunkletown, PA, and Joan F. and Anthony Bibbo of Lederach, PA; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Viewing, Monday, December 27, 2004 from 9-10 AM at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, (609) 268-8383. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 58 Mill Street, Mt. Holly, NJ 08060. Arrangements are under the direction of the Mathis Funeral Home, Medford. |
