Joseph E. Ambrose, Sr., 79, of Southampton, died, 12- 22- 2004 in Cherry Hill.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Joseph was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, LeisureTowne Association, LeisureTowne Singers, Breakfast Club, Curtain Call T.O.U.C.H. and Treasurer of the Recreation Committee of LeisureTowne. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Eucharist, where he was a church lector, sang in the compassionate choir, and was involved with their church festival.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Teresa M. (nee Greer) Ambrose; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Dr. Joseph E. Ambrose, Jr. of Indiana, PA, Dennis M. and Jo Ambrose of N. Wales, PA, and Gregory J. Ambrose of Pennsburg Manor Home, PA; two daughters and one son-in-law, Teresa M. Stevens of Kunkletown, PA, and Joan F. and Anthony Bibbo of Lederach, PA; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Viewing, Monday, December 27, 2004 from 9-10 AM at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Rd., Tabernacle, (609) 268-8383. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM at the church.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA.
