Everett Abrams, 88, of Indian Mills, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2002 at home. Born in Tabernacle Twp., he resided in Shamong most of his life. Everett was a life member of the Indian Mills Fire Co. He was a member of the Pine Belt Sportsmans Club & American Cranberry Growers Association. He was past director of Burlington County National Bank, & past tax collector, treasurer & custodian of school monies for Indian Mills. Everett owned & operated R. Everett Abrams Farms in Indian Mills, & was the NJ State Champion Tomato Grower in 1953 & 1956. Husband of the late Elva (Watts) Abrams; father of the late Barbara Whalen & Jane Godfrey; he is survived by 1 son & daughter-in-law, Everett L. & Diana Abrams, Sr.; 3 brothers & sisters-in-law, Ralph & Rita Abrams of Shamong, John & Grace Abrams of Tabernacle, & Eugene & Pearl Abrams of VA; 8 grandchildren, Everett L. Abrams, Jr., Jeffrey Whalen, Steven R. Abrams, Alison Insinga, Susan Fox, Brenda Yost, David Godfrey& Lisa Godfrey; 7 great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. Relatives & friends may call on Friday, December 13, 2002 from 9-10:30 AM at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford (609) 654-2439. Funeral services will follow at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle.
