Gwen M. Shepherd (nee Hopkins), 48, of Chatsworth, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 1, 2008.

Born in Trenton, Gwen was raised in Hamilton Square, and resided in Chatsworth for 15 years. She was a graduate of Steinert High School in Hamilton, NJ. Gwen loved gardening and flowers, and that love led her to attend Everett’s School of Design in Lakewood, upon her high school graduation.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald Shepherd; her parents Ronald and Frances Hopkins; loving mother to her two daughters, Charisse Butler and Veronica Shepherd; and her sister, Wendy Hopkins; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 9:30-11:30 AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, (609) 654-2439. Funeral services will follow at 11:30AM, at the funeral home.

Interment will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008, at 11AM, at the Chatsworth Cemetery, Chatsworth, NJ.
