Sean Michael Prior, 19, of Medford, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008, at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Sean resided in Medford all of his life.  He attended St. Mary of the Lakes School, was a parishioner there, and was active in their youth groups.  He was an Eagle Scout with Troop 20 in Medford, and was self employed with Prior & Schmitt Landscaping.  He was very active in the community and was involved with Habitat for Humanity and Patrick’s Dream.  Sean was a Camden Catholic H.S. Class of 2007 graduate, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class, and was the stage crew manager.  He was a member of the National Honor Society, and had an academic scholarship to St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA.

Grandson of the late Thomas J. Kenney, Jr.; he is survived by his loving parents, Robert and Barbara (nee Kenney) Prior; his brother and sister, Timothy J. and Moira K. Prior; his grandmother, Marjorie M. Kenney; his aunts and uncles, Thomas J. Kenney III, esq., Richard J. (Gail) Kenney, Marjie (Kevin) O’Brien, Kathy (Paul, M.D.) Collura, Jean (John) England, James (Wendy) Prior, Henry Prior, Thomas (Monique) Prior, and Bob (Linda) Reynolds; and numerous cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, August 7, 2008, from 5-8 PM, and again on Friday, August 8, from 10-11 AM, at St. Mary of the Lakes R.C. Church, 40 Jackson Rd., Medford.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM, at the church.  Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sean’s memory to The Sean Prior Memorial Fund, c/o Commerce Bank 195 Tuckerton Rd., Medford, NJ 08055.
