Joseph LaPuzz, 81, a resident of LeisureTowne, Southampton for the past 8 years passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2008.

Born and raised in Paterson, NJ, he graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland and Fordham University in NY with B/S &M/S degrees in Organic Chemistry.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War and was employed as a research chemist by American Cyanamid in Bound Brook, NJ for 17 years and was retired from Schering Plough Pharmaceutical Company in Kenilworth, NJ.

He was a member of the Bridge Club and Curtain Callers at Leisure Towne and was a communicant of the Holy Eucharist Church in Tabernacle.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of 50 years, two daughters, Lorraine Durkin of Cherry Hill and Kathleen Suravage of Medford, and three grandchildren, Michael Conover, Alexandra and Victoria Durkin.

Viewing will be at the Church of the Holy Eucharist, 520 Medford Lakes Road Tabernacle, NJ 08088 on Friday, September 5, 2008from 9:30-10:30AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM.

Interment will follow at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
