Gloria D. Duffy Dwyer, 51, of Pittsburg, NH, succumbed to cancer after a courageous 20 year battle, on Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a former resident of Berlin, NJ, before moving to New Hampshire. Gloria was formerly employed by the Acme in Medford as the head cashier, and UCVH in Colebrook, NH, as a Unit Secretary.  She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Blue Ribbon Winner at Cross Stitching.  Some of her hobbies included gardening and listening to 40’s music and antiques.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Dwyer of Pittsburg, NH; one son and daughter-in-law Roy T. and Danielle Duffy of Willow Grove, PA; one grandchild Brynleigh Duffy.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 11, 2008 from 12-2PM at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main Street, Medford, NJ.  There will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Two River Cancer Fund, Lake Francis, Boat Ramp Route 3, Pittsburg, NH 08592.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mathis Funeral Home, Medford.
